I have been drawn to massage all my life. When we were young, my sisters and I would practice massage on the living room floor. It is something that always came naturally to me. After more than 35 professional years, I still love massaging! My sister once told me, "You have those hands. You should really train and do this for a living." She only speaks of such things with depth of sincerity.

My very first formal training was in MN, where I learned Shiatsu. I was licensed in FL in 1984 after graduating from Educating Hands in Miami. I have since trained to teach Swedish, NMT and Hydrotherapy at The Florida School of Massage in Gainesville FL. I have also studied Structural Bodywork and Awareness with Lee Joseph and Paul Linn, Cranio-Sacral Therapy with Hugh Milne and the Milne Institute, Polarity Therapy, Connective Tissue Therapy, received Master level Reiki attunement, and taken basic training in innumerable other modalities, including massage cupping (not to be confused with Traditional Chinese Medicinal cupping).

When I begin a session, I read the papers you've filled out about your health and history. I listen to what you tell me about how you feel in the moment and what you'd like to address. In addition, once I make physical contact, your body guides me and intuition becomes another key tool.

My work consists of a blend of many modalities, depending on what you prefer. I offer the use of heat packs to help soothe your nervous system, soften tissues or simply for warmth. You can request warmed socks as well. Your choices in feedback are many! You can ask for more or less pressure, slower speed, broader or more specific contact. Some modalities can be practiced with clothes on, so if you feel shy or modest, know that you have that option as well.
